April Favourites!

April Favourites!

I don't have that many favourites this month and they are mostly skin and hair care!

Palmers Cocoa Butter Lip balm:

I sometimes use the Palmers body butter so when i saw this i bought it because i love the smell. It is so moisturizing and lasts for ages!

Johnson's Gentle Exfoliating Wash:

I have been looking for an exfoliating wash for a while but they all seemed to be a little too harsh for my skin, so when i found this and it is great as it is for sensitive skin. I think it smells of talc and baby lotion!!

Essie Nail Polish:

I have been wearing a few different Essie shades this month but my favourite have been 'Bikini so teeny' and 'Mojito madness'. I highly recommend Essie nail polishes in general as they are so worth the money!

Argan Oil Heat Protection Spray:

This is such a bargain at only £1! It smells amazing and protects your hair so what is not to love! I'm Already on my 2nd bottle of this!

Nspa Ultimate Cleansing Tonic:

I have a full review of this product coming up on my blog so i won't talk too much about it! This is great for taking all your makeup off and doesn't leave an oily residue.

Collection Hot Looks Nail Polish:
This shade is called Milkshake and it is just the perfect nude nail colour! It is opaque after two coats but it does chip very easily but i can live with that, just have to keep reapplying!

Got2b Oil-licious Styling Oil:
I had seen some reviews on this item and i decided to buy at! It smells great and i seem to be obsessed with argan oil smelling things at the moment! You only need to use the tiniest amount of this as a little goes a long way!

I Love Drugstore Makeup Tag!

I Love Drugstore Makeup Tag!

I saw this online liked the questions I thought i would answer this tag! I tag anybody who would like to answer these questions!

1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand overall?
I have two Bourjois because i love their foundation and Seventeen as most of the products are amazing!

2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?
Favourite face product is Bourjouis Healthy mix foundation it is i think one of the best foundations of drugstore and high end!

Favourite cheek products are NYX blushes, there is a great shade range, they are pigmented and last for a long time!

Favourite lip products are seventeen mirror shine lipsticks especially beehive!

3. Least favorite product?
Collection lasting perfection concealer it creased on me and i have never ever had that before and i feel that it didn't cover blemishes enough as i would have liked!

4. What is the best makeup bargain?
MUA palettes they are my favourite drugstore item of all time, they are amazing and just £4!

5. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)
MUA single eye shadows i use the palettes all the time but i always over look the single shadows but they are highly pigmented and have a range of colours!

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?
I can't think of a product that is overpriced but i think that these is a lot of overpriced drugstore skincare, if that counts!

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!!
The only one i have up to now it MAC 'Please me' dupe which is a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 101!

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
Collection Lasting perfection concealer it just doesn't work for me it flakes off!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation:

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation:
I know that there has been like a million reviews on this foundation but i love it so i wanted to review it too! One of the best things about this foundation i think it the shade range as i have trouble finding a pale enough foundation for my complexion but the light porcelain shade is perfect it is like my exact skin colour and because of that it gives a flawless look! I would say that it is a medium but build able coverage.the finish of the foundation is kind of silky. The scent of this is kind of a fresh/floral one i think! I would recommend this foundation to everybody who likes a silky/glowy finish for their foundation!

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer Dupe!

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer Dupe:

I have had the Soap and Glory concealer for a while now and i spotted this Along Came Betty concealer in Tesco and thought that it was a pretty similar concept to the soap and glory product  and for only £1.50 i couldn't turn it down! Both concealer kits have 2 different colour concealers, one for under eyes and another for blemishes and a powder. The soap and glory powder is pressed and the other one is loose and i prefer the loose powder as i find the pressed powder to be a little chalky. The Soap and Glory concealer's are very creamy but the cheaper ones are even creamier that them and do not crease. I cannot tell a difference in these two as the colours/shades of each concealer is exactly the same!
I would definitely recommend both of these concealers as they are basically the same product!

The top 2 swatches are from the Along came Betty kit  and the bottom 2 are from Soap and Glory.

E.L.F Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick: Review

E.L.F Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick: Review
I have used quite a few stick form lipsticks and stains so i thought i may as well try the elf version and i was pleasantly surprised! They are pigmented and do last on the lips for a few hours before the need to re apply. It has a minty/menthol taste and smell to it which im not to keen on but i can live with that! There is not very many colours to choose from which is kind of annoying but what shades they have are really nice! It has tiny gold glitter specks but they are hardly visible when it is on the lips!

Wet'n'Wild Mega Protein Mascara: Review

Wet'n'Wild Mega Protein Mascara: Review

This is the second mascara I have tried from Wet'n'Wild, the previous one i used was the 'Mega Wink' mascara which i really enjoyed using. This mascara is very black and does add volume and length but it isn't the best mascara i have ever used and i only use it on the upper lashes as i find it tends to smudge on my lower lashes. Overall,  I wouldn't repurchase this mascara as i don't think it is anything special or does amazing things to my lashes!

Favourite Purple Lipstick!

Favourite Purple Lipstick!

I had to share this lipstick with you as this is my favourite purple lipstick i have ever used up to now! This is from the Collection Little Mix range and this is the Perrie lipstick. It is highly pigmented and lasts a good few hours before you need to reapply and seeing as it is only £2.49 I think that is pretty good! I was a little hesitant to buy this as i didn't think it would suit  me but for the price i decided to and i'm so glad i did! I think this would suit most skin colours as it is a purple with pink undertones.

Perfect Platforms!

Perfect Platforms!

At first I wasn't so sure on the 90's trend but recently I felt myself being drawn to this style of shoe so I decided to go for it and I'm so glad I did! I kind of feel a little nostalgic with these as I used to have a similar style when I was a child!
These are probably the most comfortable shoe I have worn even with the little platform and heel, I could wear them all day and everyday and the do not hurt at all. You can pick up this style from most places at the moment but mine were £14 from Primark. I chose the tan colour as it isn't as harsh as black and I think the tan and white look better together! I'm pretty sure i will be going back to purchase the all white sandals!

'Along Came Betty' The Night Shift cream:

'Along Came Betty' The Night Shift cream:

I have been using this for around 6 weeks now every night and my skin has changed so much for the better! I have normal/dry skin and this has been perfect. It feels so smooth and soft and that has made a difference when I apply my make up, It seems apply a lot smoother. I love the packaging of this, It has kind of 50's feel to it, It may just be me that thinks that! I have started using a lot of skincare from the range and I feel that it is really working for my skin at the moment. The brand is available from Tesco!

Top 5 Nude Lipsticks:

Favourite Nude Lipsticks:

A nude lip colour is so handy as they compliment any eye look and so I thought i would show you my current favourite nude lip sticks. A few of these are pinky nudes as I find the most brown nudes do not suit my complexion!

L'oreal  Collection Privee Cheryl's
I have mentioned this colour numerous times but I use this all the time so i had to include it! This has a glossy finish. The shade is pigmented and has great lasting power.

Rimmel Lasting Finish in Birthday Suit

I have had this lipstick for a while a recently rediscovered it. This is more or an orange toned nude, I wouldn't normally go for this colour but i love it. This again is a subtle glossy finish.

MUA Lipstick in Shade Bare 14
This is kind of in between a glossy and matte shade but not quite either! the colour looks kind of brown in the tube but when swatched and on the lips it is more pinky. At only £1 this is a bargain!

Seventeen Mirror Shine in Beehive
This is slowly becoming my favourite lipstick ever! It is the perfect pinky nude colour that suits any make up look. I have written a full review on this lipstick on an earlier blog post.

Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 07
This lipstick is highly pigmented and lasts for quite a while, this one is the deepest colour of all the lipsticks but i still class is as nude shade even though it is quite dark.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser:

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser:

From the reviews I have seen about this product they have always been positive but I disagree! It left my skin red and blotchy I'm not sure why it did this as it says it is for all skin types so I thought that included sensitive which I do have but it just didn't work. I wasn't too keen on the scent either it is kind of a minty/menthol scent. This is the only Soap and Glory product that doesn't work for me which was disappointing as it is one of my favourite brands!

FOTD:

FOTD:

I was going out and liked my make up so I decided to do a post on my face of the day, hope you like it! I wanted to focus on the lashes and liner in this look so I decided on fairly neutral eye shadows.

Products used:
Benefit Hoola
Current favourite bronzer.
Rimmel clean finish foundation:
This is one of my current favourite foundations.
Ardell Demi whispies:
These lashes are amazing and I now understand all the hype about them! They are the perfect size as I didn't have to cut them down which I normally have to do.
MUA Undress me too Palette:
As you can see this is a well loved palette of mine, I used the lightest shimmery shade for the lid and the matte brown for the crease.
Wet'n'Wild Mega wink mascara:
I use this for the for the bottom lashes as the wand is smaller that the bad gal lash.
Benefit Bad gal lash
Primark Kohl eye liner
MUA Colour blast eye shadow pencil in Stay

Along Came Betty products:
Eye Primer
Brwow
Define jumbo eye liner:
This is really easy to use even though the nib is oversized!
Sparkling shine highlighter:
The best cream highlighter I have ever used!
Blush duo:
This is the first time I have used this, It is a duo of a cream and powder blush. I liked it but I'm still not a big fan of cream blushes, I find that it doesn't blend well on my skin but the powder was really nice.

Current Favourite Sunglasses:

Current Favourite Sunglasses:
As it is Spring and Summer will soon be upon us I thought I would show you my favourite sunglasses!

Ray ban Wayfarer's
These are my favourite sunglasses ever! They are so timeless and compliment any outfit, I think these one are limited edition as the have the Ray ban logo on the inside and I haven't seen any exactly the same since I bought them!

ASOS Clubmaster's
I wasn't sure if this style would suit me so I bought an inexpensive pair from ASOS for £12. These again are a classic style

Primark wayfarer style
Primark always have a great range of on trend sunglasses. I love the tortoiseshell pattern on these I think they compliment my hair colour very well!

Ray ban Aviator's
Again another timeless style of sunglasses, These were the first designer sunglasses I ever bought about 4 years ago now and they are an amazing investment as the never go out of style!

Primark Keyhole sunglasses
I had never seen this style before and I thought I was unusual so I bought these for only £1! You can't go wrong with prices like that!

Zara Office City Bag Dupe:

Zara Office City Bag Dupe:

I have loved the Zara office city bag ever since it was released but I just never got round to buying it and when I went in store I couldn't find one anywhere they had been replaced with the mini version which I love but I prefer big bags as I'm always carrying around loads of things!

When I saw Primark had come out with a dupe I had to buy it and for only £12 it was such a bargain seen as the original one is £49.99. I thought I would go for this pastel pink/coral as a nice alternative for black and it is perfect for spring. The bag is sturdy and stands up on its own, It is spacious and easy to access. I like that it has an across body strap and not just the short handles. I would recommend that you go in store and look at this bag as it is a bargain!

Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish (Wintermint):

Revlon Parfumerie Nail Polish (Wintermint):

I have been dying to get my hands on this range of nail polishes for what seemed like ages and when I spotted them in Boots I had to have a look! There is a a fairly wide range of colours available and all of them are amazing!! The scent of this one is mint and it I think it is quite strong as you can smell is every time you move your hands, I didn't expect it to be as scented as it it!

The colour is nearly opaque after one coat but two coats would be better if you wanted a more vibrant colour. The brush is very easy to use and the nails are covered in one brush stroke. I would definitely recommend these and I will be buying lots more colours!
